Closing Out 2019

Closing Out 2019

There are only a few days left in the year. We’re spending them getting ready for 2020 and celebrating the end of the decade we’ve just lived together. It’s amazing to type that out. Something about the round numbers makes it seem more momentous.

I think we’re doing momentous things here. They aren’t big, maybe. By most measures, they’re pretty small. But they’re meaningful. I care about this work, and more and more other people care about it, too. I’m having more conversations with people about what it means to be here, carving this space out of the development that rises around it.

This coming year, we’re exploring the possibilities of the land in new ways. We’re listening to it: when it says it’s excited, when it tells us it’s tired. We’re embracing the ancient instincts embedded in the deepest parts of our spirits. We’re following where they lead us, exploring the way they guide our thoughts and actions. And we’re embodying a connection to the earth that is so easy to lose in our modern world.

As we undertake this work, we welcome you to join us in the way that feels meaningful to you. We honor whatever way you choose to experience the farm, and all that it offers. We’ll see you in the new year.

Your Farmer
