December 2019, week 1

In just over a week, Santa Claus is coming to town. Take a wagon ride through the farm to discover Santa's secret hideaway. He's waiting to hear all your wishes, and of course to share them with his little helpers just in time for Christmas. We can't wait for you to experience the share of holiday magic that Santa brings to the farm every Christmas.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Santa and wagon rides start December 9, 5-8 pm. Visit our website for more information about dates and times.

Cilantro - one bunch

Cutting celery - one bunch
Cutting celery is often mistaken for flat leaf parsley. Both are part of the carrot family. Cutting celery is sharper than grocery store celery, and can be substituted for regular celery in most recipes. Cutting celery has long skinny stalks compared to grocery store celery. You can use the entire sprig of celery at once, or you may use the stalk and leaves separately. The stalks have a more concentrated flavor and can be used in many different dishes such as this Creamy Celery Soup or this Apple Celery Salad

Turnip greens - one bag

Kale - one bunch

Onions - 3
Onions come in all different shapes, sizes and colors. They vary in flavor from sweet to spicy and sharp to juicy. Onions are a good source of vitamin C and contain over thirteen percent of the recommended daily value in just one cup of chopped onion. Onions are very versatile and can be used in a lot of different dishes. During this colder weather, we all love a good bowl of warm soup. This delicious French Onion Soup might be just the thing to warm you up!
