“We often think about the monumental place that Horse has in human history, giving us the ability to cross vast distances and haul heavy loads. But it’s actually the small moments of connection Horse offers that allow us to do something far more difficult: They allow us to transcend ourselves and, in doing so, find fathomless courage and profound peace.”

         - Maia Toll, Wild Wisdom Companion

A closer look by a careful guide may be just the medicine you’re searching for
. In this 4-week workshop series, you’ll learn about horse communication and forge a bond with your Kinlands horse guide. In the process, you’ll discover things you never knew about yourself.

You don’t need to be a “horse person,” intend to own a horse one day, or even plan to ride one to be part of this experience. Perhaps you’re simply taken by this creature’s power or elegance. All you really need is the desire to connect. (If you’re a little timid about even standing near a horse, that’s OK. We’ll help you move through it.)

Why are horses such insightful guides? They live in a state of full awareness, speaking with movements as subtle as a shift of the ears or as clear as a fond nuzzle. They send messages with the speed of their movement and sometimes through complete stillness. When we learn to understand and use their language, we bring a deeper awareness to our own ways of being.

If you’re curious about what it’s like to live in connection with a horse, this series is for you. We’ll help you build an energetic bond with this magnificent creature using focused presence and movement. In time, it will become a partnership in which the horse trusts and respects you. Whether you use your newfound skills in horse communication to better understand horses or yourself, these workshops will lead you to new insights.

We’ll meet every Saturday morning for four weeks from 10:00-11:00 AM.

After your session, gather supplies for the evening ahead in our year-round shoppe. Fill your tote with fresh bread, herbs for cocktails, or made-to-last household items. From botanical bath soaks to fair-trade dish linens, our rustic yet refined collection lets you bring the textures, scents, and colors of The Kinlands home with you.

“Your horse is a mirror to your soul. Sometimes you might not like what you see … sometimes you will."

         - Buck Brannaman
