From snap peas to horses striding through a newly green pasture, we invite you to experience the joys of spring at The Kinlands.
The Shoppe in Spring
Our indoor shoppe is bursting with signs of spring, hope, and renewal. Depending on the day, you can bring home colorful bouquets of tulips and daffodils, baskets of freshly gathered eggs, the age-old medicinal greens and herbs of spring, and bowls of delicious peas, berries, asparagus, rhubarb, and more. Our seasonal home goods include canvas market totes for your spring adventures; gardening tools and foraging supplies; vintage vases for displaying your floral finds; hanging plants; and everything you’ll need for spring cleaning in a natural home including a refill cleaning station, ostrich feather dusters, and wooden-handled brooms.

Spring Land Experiences
Turn your face toward the sun and wiggle your toes in the clover. Our guided 30-minute Spring Land Experiences offer a portal to the natural world inviting you to safely open your heart and use all of your senses to smell, taste, touch, hear, and watch spring awaken around you. Feel a goat’s soft spring coat. Smell the fresh honeysuckle blossoms. Taste the year’s first berries. Remember that you are nature.
Everyone and anyone who wishes to soak up the season is welcome, including individuals, groups, families, and field trips. A Kinlands host will meet you when you arrive.
Animals in Spring
Horses and goats live by example, reminding us how to be fully present in the moment and in-tune with our truest selves. We offer two animal-based workshops — 4-Weeks in the Life of a Goat and 4-Weeks in the Life of a Horse — where you can connect with the spirit of your chosen guide, learning their nature and, in turn, uncovering your own place in the natural world. These unique experiences are imbued with the spirit of the season, and you’ll see how our animal guides make the most of spring’s gifts: welcoming babies to the herd, munching on their favorite new growth, shedding their cold-weather coats, and stretching their winter-weary legs with joyful gallops under the spring sun.
In these hands-on workshops, you’ll learn timeless skills and seasonal crafts for living a more well-connected life. Remember your inner wild during a seasonal living workshop or learn to identify and forage spring herbs and transform them together into homemade body care products. In these joyful, community-centered sessions, you will remember the skills of our ancestors and learn to more fully recognize the abundance that Mother Earth showers us with each spring.
Spring Seasonal Box
The Earth is singing with new life, and our Seasonal Boxes bring that song to your doorstep. Available monthly, the boxes honor each phase of the season — early, middle, and late — with spring-inspired supplies for the home, fresh food, and other items to help you welcome the season.
The details: Each month we’ll curate a selection of just-harvested fruit and veggies, fresh bread, and pastries. We'll also include a few surprises from the shoppe. Depending on the box, you may find kitchen essentials, pantry staples candles, a surprise from our refill bar, and thoughtful personal care items like a botanical bubble bath or small-batch lotion. Some boxes will be themed, but all will be devoted to the moment of their phase and season.
Boxes can be purchased individually, with a slight discount if all three of a season’s boxes are purchased together. We offer options for pickup and shipping.
