07.17 Wildcrafting: Bees & Bouquets
Please select all options.
July 17, 2023 - 12:30-2:00 PM
The Bees and Bouquets Workshop is an educational program designed for kids to learn about the relationship between bees and flowers. During the workshop, kids will have the opportunity to learn about the different types of flowers that bees are attracted to and how important bees are for pollination and the ecosystem.
After the educational part of the workshop, kids will have the option to make a bouquet or a nature bee house. For the bouquet, kids can select flowers that bees are attracted to and create a beautiful arrangement. Alternatively, they can create a bee house using natural materials like sticks and twigs, which can serve as a habitat for bees to nest and rest.
Working with the Earth in a reciprocal way helps us deepen our connection to the people and creatures around us. In our Wildcrafting workshops, we will learn about plants and animals and wildcrafting projects to strengthen these senses. Throughout the five weeks, we'll be learning about edible plants and flowers, going on bug hunts, working with fresh foods to explore plant-based cooking, playing games, painting rocks, wildcrafting bee houses, and creating bouquets. The sky is the limit on ways we can work together with nature, so join us for one or all of these hands-on workshops.
