Herbal Skincare Recipes Workshop
Join us for an herbal workshop focused on topically healing salves and botanical oils for the season of Fall. Handcraft infused oils for skincare, and customize a beeswax-based hand salve for keeping your skin nourished as the weather grows chilly. Each student will be guided through making one of each: a scented hand salve, and a customized infused botanical body oil. You'll also receive a recipe worksheet for continued crafting at home.
Garden to Table Mixed Drinks Workshop
Saturday, November 25 at 3:00 pm
Join us on the land to learn the art of crafting delicious mocktails and cocktails utilizing ingredients from the garden, such as blackberry, pepper, cucumber, carrot, fresh herbs, citrus and more. In this hands-on workshop, Master Gardener, wild forager & folk herbalist, Brianne Dela Cruz of Gather & Grow, will lead you in crafting 3 specialty garden-inspired mocktails that are sure to become a new favorite. Students will enjoy these non-alcoholic elixirs during class while learning which liquors pair well with each drink. A deeply immersive wildcrafting apprenticeship rooted in Earth’s cycles. Join us at The Kinlands for eight classes throughout the harvest season with Brianne Dela Cruz of Gather & Grow to learn the language of plants through the art of growing herbs and folk herbalism. We’ll tend, harvest, and wildcraft medicinal plants together through the harvest season in addition to learning about and honoring the earth’s seasonal cycles. Brianne will lead hands-on crafting workshops in the field and the Garden House covering various topics to fully immerse students into the world of growing, tending, and crafting with plants. Students will enjoy making herbal oil infusions, tinctures, oxymels, flower essences, decoctions, syrups, tea blends, herbal body products and more, all while syncing with the lunar and solar cycles and celebrating the Autumn season as a community in tune with the land.
